Thanks much,

The Sonus Faber Lumina V are rated 4 ohm, but the Polk center speaker is rated 8 ohm and sensitivity at 88 dB.

As to those Apollon amps from Europe, I wonder if they offer a trial period and return policy if I don't like them or any issues or problems arise.

Regarding class D amps, I have a buddy in Denver who is recommending Starkrimson Mono's but the output is 150 watts. They offer a 500 watt amp, but it costs $2500. Know anything about these? I like that they are in the US.

Regarding the Krell amp, yes, I can only guess over $200 for ground shipping or freight.
That Starkrimson you mentioned for $2500 is also the cheapest version of it. The Ultra is $4200 and it can go up from there with options. What I don’t like is all these class D amps like the one we are talking about has a 1 year warranty (WTF). All these class D amps have a much smaller warranty compared to traditional amp and nobody can explain this. I have stumbled across individuals complaining their class D broke in record time and I think there is something to these short warranties with these newer technology amps. I don’t know what brands or parts are failing early but I think over time we will figure it out. Also, I just asked Orchard Audio on their website why is the warranty only 1year. I’m waiting for a response.

I have the Parasound A21+ and I don’t believe overkill is real, but underkill is. Get it, you will love it. It’s on sale now also. I’d be cautious on class D and I say this for one reason. Almost all of them for some reason only have a 1 year warranty (WTF) and at the most 2 years. Nobody can seem to explain this. Any decent class A/B will have no less than a 5 year warranty. That will cause some people to get triggered on what I just said, but it’s true. Go browse any of the sites searching for their warranty.
Not true. Warranties can be had for 5 years. In case of ATI 7 years.
Oh and then there are the superior bench measurements easily recognized by using math.

Was curious, so just checked what Bryston is doing with their class D offering, looks like they're still doing 20 years. My Crowns came with 3 year warranties but not an issue since expiration, some are 15 years old now in daily use.

Thanks, I’m glad to see it. Several of the ones I was looking at were only 1 year and were double the ATI price. I don’t get it. Something is not adding up. I went to look at this class D ATI amp and in the specs it states the weight is 66 pounds. I haven’t seen any class D more than 25pounds.the NAD Master M23 class D is 23 pounds.

Power supply differences? Heat sinks? Chassis?

Thanks, I bought a pristine used A21+ a few weeks ago. Upon first listening, I felt like perhaps it just seemed a little bit "slow" sounding, compared to the McCormack DNA-1 Deluxe. I did receive a couple comments on another board from owners who felt the A21+ was "sluggish" sounding, and that I will have a hard time improving that much over the McCormack DNA amp, especially in the "immediacy" of the sound. One A23 owner stated that he tried an A21 and commented that the A21 sounded a bit "thick" and that the A23 sounded 'lighter on its feet and more 'airy'. But the A21+ was supposed to have remedied any such deficiency of the A21.

After the last few weeks of listening, it sounds pretty darn good to me now. Maybe I just "adapted" to the sound of it. Or, since it had not been used in a long time, perhaps it got back into its groove a bit! Don't know.
