Hi,

Pretty sure I got Facebook scammed. I bought the amp from the seller but didn't test -lesson learned. Got home and plugged in the 2 channel Parasound amp and could hear nothing -would not power-up.

Here’s what I tried:

  • Removed cover and the red led behind the front panel’s power button is dimly lit. From what I’ve read, it maybe stuck in Standby mode?
  • Continuity tested the fuses both are good
  • Inside looks clean, no smell, no char

If based on the above you think it’s worth repairing, please let me know. Thank you!

I wonder if the new owners of Parasound would be of any help? I take it you're adept at installing a piece of gear like this?

The V2 model was produced from 2018 to 2024, and so was produced before and after the new owners took over. No circuit diagrams are available, so you will have to talk to Parasound about repair. It has through board component mounting and not surface mount, so repair should be feasible.
