I'm looking at some bookshelf speakers for my mains. What do you recommend with these 2 speakers?
Paradigm studio 10 or 20 v5 or psb imagine b

That's is a very tough call. IF you can't listen to them side by side, I'd probably just pick the ones with the lower price.

Beg to differ. I A/B'd them side by side and the 20 v5's had a much larger soundstage and slightly more detailed highs than the 10's. Very nice bookshelf aesthetically and good SQ. I was ready to purchase them before hearing the KEF LS50's, which I felt were more natural sounding and can fill up a room without sounding forced or colored. It all depends on your ears and preferences. For an extra $200, you might consider demoing them. Your call. You really can't go wrong with either one. Good luck.

I have a small room. I ended up going with 20s for the fronts and 10s for surrounds. I probably could have lived with 10s all around but I like having a little more extension in the main speakers even though I rarely use them without a sub.

I am a Paradigm fan, my signature pretty much demonstrates that. Having recently added the Golden Ear Aon series speakers to my bedroom I would consider giving them a listen as you might find that you can save a great deal of $$ and still get fantastic upper end, detailed speaker which doesn't do bad on the low end.

I was actually just looking at the goldenear aon online. How do you like them? How is there sound compared to psb or paradigm. I was also looking at the goldenear supercinema 3d array.

I demoed the 20.5's and ended up buying them. It was between them and the Kefs that were mentioned above but I couldn't demo the Kefs locally so I went with the Paradigms. Very happy with them. Good low end for a bookshelf, stage well and good overall tonality.

The dealer I bought the Studio 20's from is a Golden ear dealer also and had nothing but praise about their bookshelf and tower offerings. Just had none in stock to listen to when I was looking.

The Aon 3, are excellent speakers for music and do a great job on Home Theater. The amount of Bass Extension for such a small speaker is impressive, but you would still need to get a sub if you are looking for the low bass punch.

Studio 20.5 are nice little bookshelves. I started out with the 40.3 Studio series and went to the 100's about a year ago. I am going to upgrade in the summer and my Home Theater is going to be GoldenEar as I plan on picking up the new Triton 1s when they get released this spring.

I don't think you can go wrong with either.

My budget is around $1000 on a pair of bookshelf speakers. Give or take. It sounds like I should give Goldenear a listen.
