Interesting, my Studio 20s V2 are rear ported. I will second the recomendation for them. An FYI, if you get the 20s I have found that a third 20 for my center sounds alot better to me than the dedicated center. At the time (four years ago) you could order a single 20 from Paradigm.

Though they normally are priced per pair, they come single boxed. I don't know for sure, but I can't think of a reason on earth why they shouldn't be willing to sell singly.

I use a CC-470 for my center. It's drivers match the 20's very well and it sounds excellent but I imagine that using a 20 as a center would create an even more seamless soundstage. I believe that, for additional money, they can have it magnetically shielded.

At the time you could indeed order them magnetically shielded for a small amount more. I don't remember the exact amount but $30 comes to mind.
