Hi everyone,

I have a large room ( 25 X 20 X 10 ) that I am using as a Home Theater.
I listen 80% movies, the rest music. I got interested in Paradigm Studio 20
(5 speakers) + 1 SVS subwoofer( @500 W rms). I am planning to drive these with outlaw 7125 amplifier ( 125 watts x 7 channels).
The question is will this give me with adequate sound ? My concern is
since these are monitors and not floorstanders, the sound output though
very accurate will not fill up a large space.

Thanks

you won't have trouble filling that room with sound, with that equipment. i still think the studio 20 is the best speaker in the studio series when calibrated with a sub and treating the room.

I have three Studio 20s as LCR in a big room and they do not tax my Denon 3806 receiver at all. I have them all setup as small crossed over at 80Hz.

Paradigm Studio 20's are excellent speakers. You'll make a lot of people jealous. With proper calibration, and speaker placement you'll have an outstanding system.

Dude no excuses. Around here it's not what you have, but as long as you have something.

It would be nice to see your system before and after. :D

Look at my system.

That's your closet porn listening system; show him your real set-up.

You will be quite pleased with the 20's; I say go for it.

Studio 20's

Those studio 20's can handle plenty of power. You might consider one of the more powerful amps from Outlaw or Emotiva w/ 200 Watts per channel.

My friend has 20s/CC470 in a room even larger than that powered by a Marantz 9300 and it does just fine. I was concerned that they wouldn't have enough to fill the room, but they did surprisingly well.
