I'd have to agree. Mackies and the 'digms aren't at the same level.

I think the MAckie HR824 monitors sound very similar at least to the v.3's I had.

I just bought display Paradigm Studio 20 v.4 for 30% discount.
Try if you can do the same. They have only been displayed in about 2-3 months since v.4 just came out not long time ago. (Do check the physical appearance and listen to them before you buy).
All i can tell you is that, these are amazing speakers. I like to listen all kind of music but they really shine with organic / acoustic sounds like piano, guitar, drum, etc.

Hi All,

From what I've auditioned in stores I like the sound of the Paradigm Studio 20's. I really like the detail in the midrange. What internet brands sound "the most like" the 20's through out the mids and highs. I pretty much always use a sub so not to worried about bass extension.

I want to save some money if I can.

opinions please...:)

Thanks,
SBF1
Nothing sounds like the 20v.3 except the 20v.4. If these are out of your budget, try Axiom Audio out of Canada.

Huh...Those mackies sell for around $600 for a pair...you sure they're that "elite" vs the rest of the group?
