I had a listen to them in a store near my house on the weekend. I had read about them in the latest issue of hometheatre and found a dealer that was close. I only heard the rears/bookshelves - they were in a 2.0 setup along with a comparable Tannoy model.
I thought the SE1s covered the high and low end well and was impressed for their size. The sales guy flipped to the Tannoy's to compare - the Tannoy's definitely covered the mid-range better than the SE1s, but didn't have as much of the low end. From a musical sense I thought the Tannoy's were better because of their better mid-range. Something to consider if you're looking at a music setup or a movie/hometheatre setup.
They didn't have a 5.1 setup unfortunately which is what I was really there to try out. The build quality looks great!
