Paradigm Monitor 7 v5 for $450.. Can I beat that?

I listened to the Paradigm Monitor 7 v5, unfortunately the room was small because its a small audio shop and I didn't get the best listen. However, the shop guy is selling the Paradigm Monitor 7 v5 for $450(pair), I feel the speakers lack some bass, but for the price could I do any better?

You can find them at that price all over the net. Have you listened to anything else? What is your budget for your speakers?

I haven't listened to much else, they are pretty much at the top of my price range. I felt they lacked low range... I just got excited at how low they were priced, but I think they lack too much for me to go for them. Any suggestions for 300-450?

Ohh, also listened to Def Tech BP-6's for $300, they sounded pretty good but I don't see much on this board about them.

With your budget I woud consider three options: used through audiogon, listen to higher priced floorstanders and look for deals on new equipment, look at bookshelves.

Can you buy bookshelves now and add a sub as your budget permits?
