I have auditioned both of these but not side by side. I thought they both sounded great. I think the Paradigms may have better low end but since I didn't hear them side by side I could be wrong.
What are your opinions of these? I will be spending about $750?

Should I consider swan diva 4.2? How do they compare to these two?
I have not heard them.

I havn't listened to the Monitor Audio's, but I think you can do better for your money than the Monitor 7.

Listen to more speakers in that price range.

When I first started auditioning I listened to the Monitor 7 and then Studio 20s,40s and 60s. I could not go back to the Monitors as the Studios delivered so much cleaner sound. Since the Studio line was out of my price range I looked for alternatives that would give me a similar sound.

I havn't heard the Swans, but they seem to get good reviews. My sig tells you what I found.

Try PSB

PSB has some great sounding speakers in your price range. I compared the PSB T55'S side by side with the Monitor Audio towers, cannot remember the model but about the same price as the PSB and I preferred the T55's. I bought them and they sound as good in my living room as they did at the store. KEF also has some nice stuff in that range too.

I too chose PSB Image T45s over Paradigm's monitor series. Paradigms bright light starts shining with the Studio series as Fred K indicated. :)

I ended up with MA RS8's for a bit more cash but I listen to blues, jazz and rock. They, to me had better warmth and detail the sub filled in the bass. But PSB is very good as well.
