Paradigm 100 v.2 or 60 v.5?

The studio 100's want external amplification that can go pretty close to 2 ohms IIRC. I'm not sure but I don't think there are any rec'rs that will drive them right. Check out their impedance graph.

That phase angle isn't helping them be easy to drive either from what I understand.
Alex, those curves don't look that bad. The lowest impedance dips don't seem to always coincide with large phase angles. I happened to have A/B'ed Anthem separates with the RX-V2400 in two channel using a pair of Studio 100 V3 and we could not say we heard much difference. The RX-V held its own even in the bass department. Anyone who claims the Studio 100 V3 opens up with more power need to do a DBT before making a bet with me.:D A couple of friends and I did that sighted A/B tests, we knew the results. The room size was about 15X20. In larger rooms, all bets are off. Just to protect myself from potential attacks, I can see that the 100's are a little difficult to drive, but any 120WPC receiver can handle one pair of them and do a decent job. More power is always better for them, regardless.
