Panasonic XR-25S:  Fan Mod?

I've never even heard the built-in internal fan come on, yet the receiver gets pretty hot after a while.  

Is there any way to mod it so that the fan comes on when the unit is on?  TIA</font>

the transistor beside the fan power or plug. solder the 2 pins together
