Panasonic Wireless Problem

I just bought the Panasonic HT-940 and the SH-FX60 rear wireless unit. I am having problems with a humming sound in all of the speakers when the wireless unit is engaged. This humming noise occurs regardless of the type of media that is being played (DVD, CD, TV, radio) and it is quite audible. I have spoken with Panasonic and I re-ran all of the wires, etc., but I am still having the problem. I tested the surround speakers by attaching the wires from the receiver and they work fine. The obvious solution would be to simply use the wires, but we have pets that have caused problems in the past and my wife isn't crazy about wires running to the back of the room.

I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if there are suggestions?

Thanks,
ceb

Every wireless audio solution I've played with has been iffy at best. Is the wireless unit plugged into a different outlet than the main unit? Good be some form of weird ground issue. Try running an extension cord from the wireless unit back to the main system and plugging them both in same outlet as a test. Otherwise I would say return the unit and get a new one and see if the problem goes away. Could be defective.

Thanks for your reply.

The wireless unit is plugged into a different outlet. I've tried plugging it in to other outlets in the room, without any luck. I don't know if some "humming" noise is to be expected or if I'm too picky. When the volume is down, it can be quite noticeable.
