Panasonic Plasma HORIZANTAL banding and some vertical....

I have returned a panny due to the vertical banding on the right of the screen. My new one seems to have it also, but what I really want to know about is the horizontal banding. For instance when there is a logo or a stationary bright object on the screen the the area to the left and right get bright.

What would cause this? Can it be fixed? Anyone else have any of these issues?

I also have a plasma, can't say I've ever noticed anything like that. Although I usually only watch movies on it, occasionally some TV, ill do some research on the issue, if I find anything I'll post the results. In the meantime hope your issue gets resolved.

This sounds like a ground loop to me.

I've been told this is referred to as image bleeding. I'll look into the ground loop.
