Panasonic Plasma and Noise in picture

Hello, I recently purchased a new Panasonic TH-50PX75U plasma tv. I also have it connected to a Monster Power HTFS 500. I'm getting some picture noise when watching all channels. I've tried connecting a DVD player and Sattelite box via component and HDMI and the picture is still not crystal clear. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

thanks...

Did you try to plug it directly to the power outlet without using the Monster Power HTFS?
Is your plasma TV has a 3 prong (with gound) power cord? If so, try to get one of those converter/adapter plug (from 3 prong to 2 prong) that you can get from hardware store and see if the noise will disappear.
Im not an expert on this but Ive seen others did it.

You should never use an adapter like Tarub said. Those things are horrible in all respects. You should always have proper grounding and the adapters do not supply this.

I would recommend as Tarub did to plug the TV right into the wall and see if there is still this ghosting effect.

I wonder. Do you see this noise in all plasma screens(at close range)?

All plasmas have a dithering noise, attributed to their operational principles. It is visible in some flat color areas, not all, but normally only at close range(I'd say about 4'-5'). At 7' and greater, I think it should not be discretely visible, unless you are looking for it and have the visual acuity of an Airforce pilot!

But if you see a noise all over the picture, and visible from 7', like a fuzzy analog broadcast, perhaps you should consider returning the unit for an exchange.

Well, I tried unplugging from the Monster Surge, and it still looks about the same. The picture is worse when viewing at distances below 5 feet. I'm not sure if it's just me noticing the noise in fine detail or not. At about 10 feet, you can see some noise on lighter colored images. I'm going to have a friend stop by and take a look. I might just call Crutchfield and speak with technical support first. Thanks for all your assistance.

I tried view pictures from the card reader and they were crystal clear. Does this mean that this could be an issue with the connections from the TV to DVD player and TV to DirectTV box?

Well, its hard to say. The pictures you are comparing dvd and tv to are rather different in the fact that they are still photos and not moving. The movement is most likely what has been causing the noise you see.

What sources, specifically, are you using? And what connections are you using for inputting these devices into the panel?

I'm using a directv hd box and have tried a toshiba dvd player. Both are connected via component cables.
