NFC is faster and easier to connect but bt goes further, thats the only difference I know of, sq is the same I believe...

Does NFC support audio streaming like Bluetooth (i.e. apt-X codec), or is it just for pairing?

my experience with it is you use it to connect faster then when go out of range it switches to bt, but it can be used for streaming I think that is the point.. i am not super familiar with this stuff, just what I have seen at in my office, we use a pos system that my techs take with them on the road, then when they get back it delivers all the info to the office before they even come in the building...

NFC does not transfer audio. It is simply used for pairing. When you use NFC to pair it establishes a Bluetooth connection that is no different than if you manually paired by putting in the pin.
