Pair of p362 for 200?

I think I may have a chance to pick up a pair of Infinity P362's for $200 locally. I'm pretty sure thats a great deal, but I just wanted to check first. I have all the parts and equipment to make the tritrix towers which was my first plan, although I'm wondering if my time would be better spent doing something else. I could probably recoup the money I spent on the drivers for the tritrix, because I'm sure I can find a buyer.

Time + labor for tritrix or P362?

Now that I've heard both speakers, my vote is for the TriTrix. That said, the P362 is a great speaker for the money. Perhaps the modded 362 would better the TT, but I can't comment on that. I thought the imaging and bass were better with the TT, and found the highs less forward. I dunno know why, but the bottom end of the 362 seemed kinda empty. It should be pointed out that it was not a treated room, but they were listened to in the same room. NOT level matched but same source and source material.

Thanks, there's also Klipsch Rf-3's for 250. And I do fancy the klipsch sound :p

If I got the p362, I would probably mod them.

I also like the klipsch stuff. The RF3 is good speaker at 250 IMO. Are these mostly for music or movies?

EDIT: Ya know, the Klipsch deal would be really really hard for me to pass up. Worst case you flip em for considerably more if you don't like them. I don't remember listening to the 3 much, but it had the same tweeter as the 5. I liked the 5. I ended up with the 7's though...

Probably 40% movies, 30% video games, the rest tv and music. I'm leaning towards the Klipschs now. I've always wanted (for lack of a better phrase) slammin' tower speakers :D

Plus, it'll add to my klipsch collection of Quintet SL's, Custom 3's, and Image X10's :p

While it seems to be a near impossibility to waste money on a pair of Primus 362s, and that I also have no idea what the Tritrix are, or even when considering that adwilk the golf hustler really likes Klipsch stuff . . .

. . . you're young and have a lot of other things you will do in the future. Make those speakers. ;)

That's my vote. :D

Best case scenario, buy all three, review them with pics for a million rep points, flip the Klipsch to adwilk for a nice sum, sell the Infinity's here to break even on those. Just a thought.

Mmmmm rep points :D

If someone wants to loan me $200 so I can get the Klipsch's and the Infinity's, I'll demo them both and send the person the pair I like the least :D

I've endorsed Klipsch a fair amount around these parts. All the reasons I've always liked them change a bit the more I listen to other speakers though.

Here was my setup once upon a time... RF7 and RC64

I actually really liked the TriTrix, but the price is right on them horns....

Oh, I have these too

Those Rf-7's are huge!

Do you have the cabinets and the drivers, or just the drivers, do you have the xovers? Let me start over... What exactly do you have and what do you want for it? :p:D

I have most of the cuts of MDF, all of the drivers, and all of the crossover components. It would be a pain in the *** to ship the mdf, not worth it since its not very precise and still needs a lot of work.

If I end up getting the Klipsch's (or the infinitys), I'd sell the drivers and xover parts for 110 including shipping, to get as much money back as possible. I'll even throw in a free gift*!

*= Gift is junk, but awesome junk :D

EDIT- Or I could just return the components to parts-express.

I can already tell you that I want the junk... If I bought the kit, I'd buy the whole thing -cnc cabs included. Cheaper from PE that way I think...

Yea it would be cheaper. No hurt feelings if you don't wanna buy from me. You just wont ever know what the junk was. I'll include it in a future sale though :D

I don't feel like starting a new thread for these, and I only took 1 pic that I like. This is only their temporary position before I move them to my apartment.

They look good. I'd love it if you got the Primus 362's and did a little comparison. :)
