Need suggestions for a pair of outdoor, in-ceiling speakers, that will be mounted under a built-in patio cover. I've heard the Infinity ERS 110's & they sounded pretty good. I'm sure the sound carries different outside, so I don't know how much $$ I should spend.
Any suggestions appreciated. :)

Quite a bit

The Muro's go 12Hz lower, from 50Hz to 38Hz (no doubt due to the 8" woofer over the 6.5"), have a higher spl rating which means they'll play louder, and go 2kHz higher (out of our hearing range if it makes a difference). They are also 3 way opposed to 2 way, so the midrange is much improved. Finally, the tweeter is directional - a big plus with mounted drivers. Not much of a fair comparison IMO.

Would these ^ make good "in-ceiling" speakers ?

What do you think of the BIC MSR series ?

If they'll fit, they'll make excellent ceiling speakers. If not, the MSR's are comparable to the ERS series. They just won't give you the quailty sound and bass the Muro's will. I guess it depends on the area and depth you have to work with.
