Hello All
For large areas a horn design like the Klipsch All Weather series is hard to beat due to their dynamic capabilities and wide dispersion
For value/performance you would be hard pressed to find a line that is better than these at about $155pr street
Weather resistant design with powder coated aluminum grille
UV treated, high impact ABS composite enclosure to resist sun fade & long term exposure to the elements
Powder coated aluminum ratcheting mounting bracket included
Brass enclosure inserts accept universal style mounting hardware (not included)
125 watts maximum power handling
6 1/2" metallic anodized injection-molded cone woofer with rubber surround
1" metallic anodized liquid-cooled aluminum dome tweeter
Frequency response: 55Hz - 20KHz
12dB per octave electro-acoustic crossover design
Weather resistant five-way binding post input terminals
Dimensions: 8" W x 12 7/8" H x 7 1/ 4" D
Weight: 17.12 lbs
Hope this helps
Ray - great suggestion. A few questions: What is the impedance of these speakers? Is the weight of 17 lbs for the pair (as opposed to each)? I did a quick search, and did not find them available online. What is the specific model number and who carries these speakers?
Also, in looking around, I found Pyle PDWR63 speakers, which actually seem to have fairly similar specs to the Klipsch. Do you have any experience with the Pyle outdoor speakers, and how would you compare them to the Klipsch?
Finally, I have one more question for you. I am going to be placing two pairs of speakers outside my home. One will be mounted to the house for the patio/deck area. A second pair will go away from the house in a seating area, and our landscape designer recommended getting faux-rock speakers to blend in with the landscaping. Do you have any recommendations for good bang-for-the-buck rock speakers?
I saw in another thread that you are having back problems. I wish you a speedy and full recovery.
