Outdoor Speaker Installation.

I just purchased a set of Polk Atrium 45 Outdoor Speakers.

I am planning on running them to my exterior deck just outside my home theatre room.

I am lucky in that the interior is currently being constructed and that its only studded out right now. but the exterior has Vinyl siding on it already.

Ideally what I would like is to have the wire come directly through the wall at the speaker location and just hook into the speaker.

I would like to have a clean finish, nice to look at.

I was wondering if anyone had any links to some DIY site that can explain the whole pocess.

I want to put the wire through and have some sort of plate or covering.

ALSO...

Ideally I would like to have a volume control knob outside on the side of my hot tub. can someone explain the easiest way to run the speakers from my reciever(inside my house) to my speakers and having them pass through the exterior volume control knob.

If someone has a good brand of knob I would like to know aswell...

THANKS FOR THE HELP!!!

Just a note. You will have to wire to the VC then to the speakers. If its near the hot tub you need an outdoor VC.

(replace "dot" with a "." -- I can't post links yet)

"Weatherproof against all weather conditions including salt, water, pool chemicals, & more."

Let us know how it goes.:)
I'm also looking for 2 pair of outdoor speakers and a waterproof volume control.

Hey Mike WI. I remember you from AVS. :D How's the install going? Have a "chiclet".

Now he has a higher chicklet to post ratio than you. :D
Thanks.
I kind of was wondering what he meant by chicklet and actually went back to read his posts on the AVS thread to see what I missed.:)

Chicklets, got it.
