Our HT is currently being finished up (as far as wiring goes). The projector is mounted in the ceiling, and the screen is mounted on the wall. The electrician that came out, is just installing the wall control for the motorized screen right now. After that's all done, we will be setting te system up, I suppose.

Took - and am taking - plenty of pictures for all of you! I can't wait to finally watch a movie! It'll be great!

I'm now updating with pics! :)

These are the front speakers (from left to right: Paradigm Monitor 7, Paradigm PW-2100, Paradigm CC-270, Paradigm Monitor 7) The center channel is on a table for now, but eventually we will have one of our guys that helped build the house, make a stand for it.:

This is the right surround speaker (Paradigm ADP-370):

This is the left surround speaker (Paradigm ADP-370):

Da-Lite 96"/80" (diagonal/wide) screen:

DreamVision Dreamy projector (which is mounted on the ceiling upside down):

The Yamaha RX-V 657B receiver and Panasonic S49 DVD Player (we will eventually build a cabinet for these and also have a High Definition satellite receiver/PVR):

The switches on the wall along with the thermostat (top left is thermostat, top right is for motorized screen - which we also have a remote for, bottom left is for the lights in the ceiling, while the right switch is for the vailence lighting):

Overall, this system sounds great.

The picture is perfect, very clear and our seating area (what it is for now) is pretty good!

Yeah I definetly will!

We've watched parts of some movies, and one movie fully ("Racing Stripes", which I didnt really think was very good, however my sister and brother Emma and Spencer, who are 5 and 7 i think - enjoyed it).

Mom was showing my uncle the system with the first LOTR. The whole house was shaking it was so loud! We have this chandeleir at the top of our spiral stars, it was audibly vibrating! And that's no where close to the HT room!!

Mom and my uncle wayne are now watching Dawn of the Dead.

I'm going to take some pics tonight and ill put 'em in here tonight as well :)

Couple things.

Turn your towers back to small. They're going to over power your subwoofer.

Also, get that DVD player off your reciever. No ventilation man!
And, if its in the budget, some absorbing panels?

Looks nice, one day when im next door, I'll have to come look.

1. I tried setting them to small and it over-drove the sub (which was very annoying).
2. There are vents on the side of the yammie, and it isnt that hot even after watching a movie around -9.0.

Heat rises my friend. Those side vents don't so alot. Is your system level matched? That sub should not be over driven under normal surcumstances.

How big is the room?

Yes it is level matched. Sounds fine to us, and we'll be getting a cabinet soon (hopefully!) for our components.

Great system man I am very glad you guys like it.

Yamaha's RX- and RX-V series all have cooling fans inside the receiver.

Definitly get some acuostic treatments the front wall esp..

That is a far cry from your original system. I am sure that you and your family are thoroughly enjoying it. I have enjoyed watching the progression of your systems. It has reminded me of myself and the systems I have had throughout my time. Getting better and better with every step forward. As always good luck and Happy Listening.

Nice setup Cygnus. I recently helped a guy pick out some equipment and he went with the Paradigm 7s and a cc370 with a denon 2805 and a 62" Toshiba DLP rptv, very nice setup and he really enjoys it. He went with that after doing 2 hrs worth of demoing comparing a ton of speakers but Mainly Monitor Audio B4s and the Paradigm 7s. For him it was an easy choice. He would have loved a front projection setup but the room was too bright for it. I bet you wind up with THE party house out of all your friends. Congrats Cygnus, really sweet setup.
