JUST AN FYI:
I've dealt with Visual Apex for about 3 years now. I researched and bought my first projector from them via recommendations and reading reviews over at Projector Central.
Since then, they have been one of the best companies I have EVER dealt with. Not just in the world of online sales, but better than brick and mortar shops as well. There are reviews of their store online which are worth checking out as they have a rating level that is basically unheard of. Nearly 100% from thousands of reviewers.
I strongly recommend them to anyone interested in a purchase of a projector and I have bought three projectors from them myself. Never once a glitch and never once a projector that has shown any sign at all of being an open-box model. They do sell some b-stock stuff, but it is clearly labelled on their site when they are doing this.
As far as I know, they don't have a showroom floor, so all their gear sits in a warehouse in factory sealed boxes and has no reason for anything to become open box unless it is a return. Expect a new-in-box product every time from them as the standard. I haven't heard it done any other way with them.
If you DO for some reason have a problem, then call them. Every time I've spoken with them they have been very friendly and helpful with all of my needs. It is not a small endorsement I give to this company as most online companies I have dealt with have been 'adequate'. This one simply falls into the 'superior' category. I have received follow up phone calls a week or so after every projector purchase just to ask if I had any questions or needed anything else from them. Not ONCE has a product been 'pushed' on me. They have always been very polite.
"This is Visual Apex, just wanted to make sure that your AE700 projector arrived to you in good working order and to see if there is anything else we can help you with."
"Got it, works great, everything is hooked up and it looks fantastic!"
"Thanks, if there is anything else we can help you with please feel free to give us a call. We will send you some stickers with our phone number in a couple of weeks so you can contact us if you need to. Thanks again."

That's it! Just a courtesy call that actually SOUNDS like a courtesy call.
It is definitely a top shelf company.
