Optimum Samsung cable box

So, I just got Optimum cable. For some reason, the audio will not come through to my Samsung TV speakers via the Samsung cable box. However, when I run the HDMI cable through my Xbox, the audio works fine.
Obviously, I want to run the audio through the TV. Is there a setting I am missing?

Are you talking about the audio of the XBox working or the audio from the cable box works when run through the XBox?

If the audio doesn't work from the cable box at all, you will want to check the volume and the setup of the box completely. Often cable boxes have their own volume control which may be turned down out of the box.

No doubt... If you got a cable box from a cable company and you know the HDMI cable is good, then you can reach out to them for support. Cable companies suck.

What is the EXACT make and model of the Samsung cable box? There may be some actual information for it online. Searching for 'samsung' returns a few more results than I am willing to go through.

Not sure why you want to run audio thru the tv, nor how you connected it, or what gear you're using particularly. What does the whole system consist of and how was it connected?
