I have the Oppo 971, which normally works great. However, I recently got a Sony mini-DVD camcorder and have tried to play its discs on the Oppo. It started ok, but during playback, the video signal would sporadically lag into slow motion, while the audio continued, then the video would speed up to catch up. At chapter changes, the whole signal would go out sometimes. I thought at first it might be a problem with the small discs, so I copied it onto a regular size DVD (both are DVD-R). Unfortunately, that did exactly the same thing. Both discs play fine on my older, cheap Panasonic DVD player, but I'd sure like to watch the home videos on my home theater. Any one know if this is a common problem with these players?
