I might be mistaken, but doesn't the PS3 not have a front display panel that shows stuff like time indexes and so forth? It's not majorly important, but I'd like a player that has that.

Not to mention the ability to play the hi-res portion of DVD-As. Some might say that the DTS portion is hard to distinguish from the hi-res portion, though. Sony will never build that into any of their players.

The gaming aspect of the PS3 will push the price higher than Oppo's player, I'm willing to bet.

The PS3 can't bitstream any of the new codecs, even with a firmware update, it's a hardware limitation.
