Oppo 93 / 95 - Worth an upgrade?

Seriously, I have no life.
It's a Pre-Tuner. Apologoze for my ignorance but do I need anything else to connect with (amplifier or processor) or I can use my existing 10 yrs old receiver (Kenwood VR-4090)?

Thanks!
You will need power amps to drive speakers between a pre/pro.

Your other alternative is to purchase a receiver.

Get a receiver with pre-outs and you can certainly add an amp down the line. Though it is rarely necessary in most setups.

Receiver replacement

This is what I did, I replaced my 8 year old Sony with a Yamaha and got a Sony BDP 380 that plays SACD thru HDMI, my old receiver did not do SACD thru HDMI. See signature for my HTPC setup.

tls really knows his AV stuff, and that marantz would be a great way to go. another way to do it for similar cash is i am very happy with my new denon 4311CI. not as pretty as the marantz i admit. but you get the newest audyssey (XT-32) and it can function as a regular AVR for now, and later you could buy an external power amp if you think you need to and run it in preamp only mode which switches off it's internal amps.
