I've had my AVR7300 now for about six months and am very pleased with its performance and ability to deliver.
I'm only running it in 5.1 with Infinity Interlude speakers all around, and it's hooked into a Monster Power center.
People have complained about the 7300's cooling fan for the FLI2300, honestly.. I can't hear it. If I have my living room door open, the ambient noise from outside is much louder than the fan. If you listen to any show at above -50, you wont even hear it.
My only complaint is that HK is a bit behind in the 'up conversion' category. This unit doesn’t support HDMI nor does it support Up conversion of incoming signals. It can convert incoming 480i (S-Video, Composite and even Component) to 480p, but that's it.
Newer receivers are able to scale incoming signals to 1080i and output all incoming signals to HDMI, meaning far less cables.
HDMI/Up conversion aside, the AVR7300 is a great receiver!
Secrets did a review of this unit and it came out looking like a champ.
Hope this all helps!
