Onkyo TXNR801 vs. Denon AVR 3803

I was hoping to get some feedback on these two systems.  I'm just starting to build my HT system and want a nice A/V receiver to start and grow with.  I like the fact that the Onkyo has an ethernet connection.  At this point I'm open to any and all advice on these including where to get the best prices on any and all components.

Also, if you have advice on a nice set of speakers.  My room is 16 x 21 with a 12' ceiling.

Budget for receiver and speakers around 1600 - 1800.

If you think there are others I should be considering for around the same price, lay em on me.
