Onkyo TX-SR806 audio problems

From the time I got my 806 last year the audio doesn't always kick on when I turn the receiver and cable box. I have replaced the cable box and HDMI cable to try and sort out the issue but it still happens. The Sub usually has sound so I think it may be an amp issue. I can turn it off and on a few times and it will eventually start working.

As of today I've noticed my sub keeps kicking on and off while a program is running. It didn't do it while on a dvd though. While watching an HD program in dolby digital the sup will click on and off as if the receiver is turning off the signal to it when it doesn't notice any audio for the channel.

I've got a few months left of my warranty and I'd rather not be without the receiver for the several weeks of turn around.

The sub has nothing to do with the amplifier section of the Onkyo as the sub has a built in amplifier.

For the rest of the problems, sometimes a simple reset works. You could either unplug the unit for about 10 mins or you could do a power on reset, but you would have to look in the owners manuel with how to go about that one.

Sorry that I can't be any more help.
