Onkyo TX-SR805 vs. Denon AVR-2807

i came down to these two receivers to power my sysem that i am going to purchase soon..its going to consist of two Polk audio rti12s, the polk audio csi5 center, polk audio rti6 bookshelves along with the eD a-350 sub...do you think these two receivers are strong enough to power the system?which would you prefer for the setup??why??

I wouldn't even consider the 2807 against the 805. The 2807 is last year's model. Even against the 2808, I'd probably still take the 805. All other things being equal, it's cheaper and has the Reon chip. But that's just my quick opinion. Others will certainly follow to agree or differ with this drunk at 5AM opinion.

I believe either of these will power your setup without hitch. If these two were the only options, I'd probably go with the Onkyo. The 805 is a nice receiver.

The TX-SR805 is better equipped to handle the Polk's. It is a 50 pound receiver, THX Ultra II certification. Hands down Onkyo TX-SR805

I know Denon receivers have excellent track record in terms of reliability but the RTi12's will benefit from the much more powerful Onkyo 805.
