I have an older Onkyo receiver. If I hook it up to my 4K tv and gaming systems will it hurt my picture quality. I also having trouble understanding ohms. I have a BOSE Acoustimass 6 III surround sound speaker system. Onkyo said I needed 8ohms receiver or it may cause damage to one or both. They tx sr607 appears to have 8 ohms. Need help.

Well I don't see that the 607 has any 4k capabilities so you'd probably want to send video directly to the tv, bypassing the avr (and send audio directly to the avr).

The 607 is spec'd with 6 ohm, so no problem for 8 ohm and even shows a dynamic rating for 4 ohm, I wouldn't worry about it with the Bose speakers (but hard to find real spec on Bose since Bose doesn't roll like that).
