Onkyo TX-SR606 not displaying blu-ray signal

I'm trying to run a blu-ray player through this receiver but do not get an image. It runs fine when connected directly to the TV. The TV can display a max resolution of 1080i. I want to run the blu-ray through the receiver as I have other devices to connect as well. The TV only has 1 DVI input and no HDMI inputs. I forced both the blu-ray and receiver to output 1080i as well as 720p and that did not work. Any suggestions?

You need to go into the Onkyo setup menu and under HDMI Monitor Setup indicate that you want video on so set to "yes", otherwsie it won't display anything. You also have to assign HDMI inputs also, so make sure you do that also in the "Digital Assign" in the Onkyo Menu
