So during Onkyo's recent refurb sale I picked-up both the txsr507 and the ht-s5200. I'm by no means an audiophile, but I finally have a great room to enjoy great sound in and want to maximize it. I'm upgrading from an older (~6yrs old) Kenwood HTIB system that was low-end when I bought it. So I anticipate both of these to be an improvement. I will be running an XBOX, upscaling dvd player (hopefully a blu-ray after Christmas), and not much watching of regular tv. It will be going to a 50" Panny 1080p S2 series. I will be using the speakers from the Onkyo s5200, but using whichever receiver is best, then selling the other. My experience pales in comparison to all yours, so I want your opinions on which of the two receivers is best. From my knowledge, the main difference I'll see is the r570 does not have an HDMI repeater and the 507 does. If that's true, how much value do you put on that feature?
