Onkyo TX-SR502 Video Problems

Hi, I am currently rearranging my home theater system, everything was working fine and dandy beforehand. Everything now is set up and all i have to do is plug the cables back in. I plug in my dvd player using a standard composite video cable into the dvd spot in the back of my reciever. I tested it out and recieved sound (have a coaxial audio cable plugged in the coax audio port) but no video, so i unplugged the video and tried it in the VIDEO1 IN. This time i got Video on not only Video 1 but Video 2 as well. Next I plugged into video 2 and received no video at all. I bought my reciever maybe 2 months ago and any help would be appreciated.

How do you have the receiver connected to the tv? Are you using the composite 'monitor out' to go to the tv?
