Howdy y'all, I need some help setting up my receiver, I am trying to hook my xbox and it is not going well :(.. I have an HDMI cable going from the HDMI Out on the receiver and into an HDMI port on my tv. I have my xbox plugged into HDMI 4 "Game" i go to that input i get a blue screen with a message saying Receiving auto control signal (now) screen flashes a couple times goes black, then goes blue again. I must be doing something wrong I have read the manual and still cannot figure it out. any help would be much awesome thanks!

checked connections

Okay I have checked the connections time and time again. I've even left out the power amp XPA-5 and tried hooking directly up to the receiver still no luck. the speakers are getting power I can hear that when i turn on the receiver. Any thoughts on what settings i may be missing?

You probably have bad settings on your xbox.

Changing your speaker hookup is a waste of time. If your speakers can play test tones they are hooked up correctly.

I haven't used my xbox in quite some time so I'll have to dig it out to mess with the settings.
