Onkyo Receiver and Onkyo Subwoofer

Just made a very difficult decision; I have decided to purchase the Onkyo TX-SR707 receiver and the Onkyo SKW 204 subwoofer. The primary reason that I chose the Onkyo over the pioneer VSX-1019AH-K was because the 707 was THX certified. I am going to be using older Bose and Sansui speakers until I can purchase a matching system. I just hope I will not be disappointed in my decision. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Onkyo makes a good receiver.

The 707 is a fine receiver and should power most of the speakers you look at. For speakers, stay away from Bose and dump that Onkyo subwoofer for a real one.

Never mind, I just changed me mind. I am geting the Polk Audio PSW-10. Just don't want to spend a ton of money for a system to listen to music and movie audio. I will get a complete system next year.
