No. I used pure audio in another room with the same equitment and it is fantastic.

Problem is this my room has limited space and speaker position isnt great at all which is preventing me feeling the bass.

sure it not PURE but i want to get as close to pure audio with minimal processing as possable until i can fix room layout. which i have gotten. :)
Same here, I like Pure when I play back from my Revox R2R..... my AVR also has a "Straight Analog" mode (no processor but subs work) and I wired my Yamaha CD Changer RCA(analog side of AVR no HDMI) to record to tapes.. DAC is Burr Brown
in AVR and I have second DAC inline (RCA) from AVR to R2R for recording. I have tried every way to listen to music ... at least Analog. Now with a CD I just use the Bluray player and go Stereo thru HDMI and tweak the Eq. in YPAO (Yamaha Audessey)if the mids get a might "bright" front speakers are rather large and 7 feet apart and sofa 7 feet back with 2 mid level subs turned down some. To each his own as I had tube seperates many years ago before HD Audio and Bluray, now I am hooked on all of them and can't afford anymore then I have now in this small room. Some AVR do make old Klipsch sound good in a little room:)

I have found a way around this problem I hooked my sub left right inputs off the front channel pre outs on the onkyo 809 for 2.1 channel pure audio without running high level inputs dosent work great for movies tho so all I have to do is leave a LFE cord behind the sub and swap it out for movies
