ONKYO NR-609 Urgent help needed connecting to CRT

Hi All ,

I need your help to resolve this problem,i brought new onkyo nr-609 this week ,and am trying to connect with my CRT ,Play on Mini HD and SONY HCD -RV900D am using only speakers of sony to pair with onkyo

I have connected CRT to 609 monitor out ,and hdmi from play on to hdmi-1 on 609 no display on tv i tried changing resolution settings on onkyo monitor out no luck.

i tried with component out from 609 to Component in on TV not getting display.

Please find manual for 609 and ports available.

Generally receivers will not down covert from HDMI to analog.

The monitor out is usually a low quality composite output.

If you are going to get modern receivers, you need a modern TV with HDMI inputs to go with it.

Failing that you will have to make analog connections from your peripherals to your receiver until you update your TV, which is your optimal solution.
