Onkyo 805: Bi-amp and zone2

I just ordered this receiver and I was wondering if it's possible to bi-amp and use zone 2 at the same time? I downloaded the manual and it mentions that the 875 cannot use zone 2 while bi-amped or bridged, but it doesn't mention the 805. I thought it was weird that they specifically mention the 875 on page 101 on the bottom under "notes" but they fail to mention the 805. I'm assuming "NO" since the 875 cannot do it and it's a higher model. I would appreciate it if someone could let me know. Thanks in advance.

You can use Zone 2 while you are bi-amping (using the surround back amps) but you will need an amp for the zone 2 speakers. You can assign the surround back channels for 3 uses;

1) surround back amp used in 7.1 system and use external amp for zone 2
2) surround back amp used to Bi-Amp mains in 5.1 system and use external amp for zone 2
3) surround back amp used to power zone 2 and 5.1 system in main zone

adk, thanks for the information. I guess using bi-amp and powered zone 2 is not possible?

Correct. Why do you want to bi-amp? What speakers do you have?
I want to bi-amp just because my new receiver is able to. By the way, I have the RTi8s for my fronts and I might possibly bi-wire my center (CSi5). I know there will most likely be no difference if I bi-amp and bi-wire, but it can't hurt and there "may" be a positive difference.:D
