One-sided ten gauge wire

I needed some good hideable paintable wire(WAF) so I in my impatience bought some Monster Navajo White XP. I was told the wire was 10 gauge. So I was happily making some cables and noticed one wire was 14 gauge while the other was 10.

I know it really makes little difference at the distances I am using it for(I got it for the hiding purposes) But when you pay way too much for something you at least expect to get what was advertised!

I had to vent and hopefully convince others to not buy this wire.

Pls stay away from Monster Cable products in any way, they're no good to buy
There are also many other threads about this in this forum.

I wonder what exactly it was the designer was on when they dreamed that up. I'm having a hard time figuring out why you would use one conductor larger than the other.

I looked and came up with this:

http://www.monstercable.com/productdisplay.asp?pin=41

Only thing I know for sure is that you better be wearing some protection when that Flux Winding reaches Vertical Horizon. :D

I am still pissed about spending so much of my time reading their marketing crap and trying to make sense of it. It would have been so much easier if my first receiver purchase came with the AH address and I might not be so bitter.

Even my monkey is laughing at me for being such a maroon.

I particularly like:
• Magnetic Flux Tube® construction for maximum bass response and more natural sound.
• Monster's Time Correct® windings for more natural music reproduction.

So how do we wind a cable to make it Time Correct?

Monster 10/14 cable tailored for electron flow ;)

You just have to make sure you connect the wire correctly. The larger 10 gauge is used for the electrons going to the speaker where they are converted to sound. Therefore, you connect the smaller 14 guage for the return because since the electrons were converted to sound not as many will be coming back. :D:D JOKE :D:D

Just ask a Monster factory representative between his McDonald's shift when he is working on his Rocket Science degree! ( no offense to the one real Rocket Scientist on this forum). :D :D

Aaaaah, thanks, so the proton sequencing patterns matching electron resonance makes no difference, that's what I thought was the issue here

I still want to know where the electrons go after they leave my toaster.

My hate for monster is rapidly growing...
I wonder if MC will sue Bill Cosby for his 'Monster Chicken Heart' story. The fact that he started doing it before MC was a gleam in its founder's eye (or his hallucination, diabolical plan or whatever it should be called) probably won't matter.

They've transferred to your toast. It's what makes your toast appear brown. :D
Isn't that dangerous, is that why we're getting these headaches after eating toast, too many blue electrons in the toast :eek:

No, no, you've got it all wrong...the blue electrons signify that they're "liberal" electrons (as opposed to red, or "conservative" electrons) The liberal electrons are what turn your toast brown (as they did Obama);)
Man, this discussion is making my magnetic flux tube ache

So where do yellow protons fit into the picture?

 WRONG:

You want the larger conductor on the return side so noise has a lower resistance to ground.

This of course ignores basic physics of alternating current.

But when has any audiophile product worth it's enormous price tag ever been based on sound physics?
