One more question about PS3

Alright, I'm 99.5% sold on this guy as my entry level Bluray player/awesome game machine. One more question just crossed my mind. I do not have an HDMI reciever (yammy htr-5840) will running optical audio to the receiver and hdmi to the tv defeat the purpose of bluray other than pq? Additional info about my currently meager system is that it's set up in 3.1 atm and my mains are Klipsch B-3's and my center isn't even up to that standard. Thanks in advance again.

You will just get DD but the PQ will be the same (awesome) This is how I run mine.

so long as you have a HDTV and component cable, you will be good to go, you just won't get any better audio than standard Dolby Digital and dts.
