Son Volt - The Search. Excellent guitar heavy indie rock by the other half of Uncle Tupelo that didn't become Wilco (which is also excellent). Their "Okemah and the Melody of Riot" is also quite fine.

Bruce Springsteen's "Devils and Dust". I pushed it aside a while ago and, being in a dry spell for new music, dragged it out. It's really quite good and sonically pretty good. I bought it on one of those cursed dual disks, but I'm curious to play it in the HT system and see what it sounds like in surround.

i've listened to the surround disk, it's honestly not much different from what you would hear in Dolby PLII MS

Pete Shelley's "Homosapien" on vinyl.
Talk Talk "The Part'ys Over" on vinyl
T-Bone Walker "Burnin in LA" on vinyl.

I picked up all thress of these albums used and by far, th ebest recorded was T=Bones even though it was recorded/mastered in 1961. Although the record was noisy due to improper care, the cymbol smashes shimmered, the vocals had weight and realism and the bass tight and smooth. I just wwish i was able to get this album before it was abused.
