To try and pick any one artist or song is just to difficult. I change my I-pod every week, and although it's usually some sort of combination of Blues, Classic Rock, and Jam Bands, it never really stays the same, and there's always quite a few songs in there that don't fit into those three catagories.

So here's 10 albums and 10 songs from this weeks I-pod selection:

Albums:

1) Widespread Panic - Free Somehow
2) Greatful Dead - Truckin' up to Buffalo
3) Phish - Farmhouse
4) Led Zeppelin - Mothership
5) Johnny Winter - Best of Johnny Winter
6) Gov't Mule - The Deep End, Vol. 1
7) Moe. - Sticks and Stones
8) Umphrey's Mcgee - Anchor Drops
9) Old Crow Medicine Show - O.C.M.S.
10) Albert King & Stevie Ray Vaughan - In Session

Songs:

1) Umphrey's McGee - Women, Wine, and Song
2) Kelly Joe Phelps - Hardtime Killing Floor Blues
3) Tea Leaf Green - One Reason
4) Shuggie Otis - 12:15 Goonbash Blues
5) Muddy Waters - Mean Disposition
6) Perpetual Groove - Three Weeks
7) Otis Rush - Right Place, Wrong Time
8) Derek and the Dominos - Bell Bottom Blues
9) U-Melt - Infectious Groove
10) Z.Z. Top- Blue Jeans Blues

Hmmmmm. I could go on and on, but I'll spare you guys the boredom and the tortue of listening to me rant.

Billy

The current non-mainstream stuff I'm listening to right now is:

DJ Shadow - everything from "endtroducing" to some rarities

Apocalyptica - if you like metallica, a lot, and you also like classical music, this is really worth a listen

USS (Ubiquitous Synergy Seeker) - a band out of Toronto, they're self described as "Buddy Holly playing at a campfire in the middle of a drum n' bass rave at the Science Center. Bob Marley in a Lab coat. DJ Premier walks in." My fave tracks so far are "2 and 15/16ths", "Porno Star Trek", "Hollow Point Sniper Hyperbole."

Those three songs are available to play (not download) at http://www.myspace.com/ubiquitoussynergyseeker

Could be mainstream where you are but not where I am... Other than the last two singles, nobody's ever heard of them...

I guess they're more well known in the states?

There's a great acousctic guitar/bass instrumental called Etude on it. This is a good album for jazz guitar.
