The happy feet special of the day.

… whistling by Elmo Tanner .. who else? … there are 3 versions of this by Teddy and the boys; this one from 1938 … my fave… the original in 1933 and the 1947 stereo version that I just found out about today. A little bit more paced, not as frantic as the ’38 model but it’s great to hear the band more spaced out on the soundstage. I found this originally back in 2005, on the Raging Bull Soundtrack.

I kept looking at the lead singer of the McCoy’s and thinking, why does he look so familiar? Of course, it’s Rick Derringer. My senior year of high school Rick put out All American Boy(********), one of my all-time favorite albums. Sadly all his subsequent albums didn’t even come close and in some cases, downright putrid. Luckily for Rick he was a great session guitarist and being tight with Edgar Winters didn’t hurt.

Loud and proud, I'm listening to Orchid on my new Emotiva rig, via Sonos. Nice to just have fun with a new rig for once!
