Gene’s review of the 1528 bookshelves got me playing Phil Collins tonight but on my 1723 towers. I Don’t Care Anymore.

Santana - Zebop! Listening to one of my remastered favorite. This 30th anniversary edition is the best sounding version IMO.

@3db Surprised that you did not know Budgie already. I had a friend in high school that was a big fan and I'm pretty sure that I have posted about them here at least once.

On the topic of old German rock acts, have you come across Dirk Steffens? I have this on vinyl from 1976.

I would say that it's more straight up rock and not "progressive" like some other bands of the era. Vocals are all in English and the bass player and drummer are decent singers. When my friends and I first heard the album as teens we felt that Dirk Steffens was a little ahead of his time. The first song is the heaviest. The first 3 or 4 songs are pretty representative of the album but Gettin' It Out, All Out (track 8) is pretty funky. The Youtube link above is the full album. Mix is not that great but for 70's vinyl on Youtube I guess it sounds ok. The album holds some nostalgia for me, so I may be biased. :)

Currently listening to album 20 of the brown acid series. I have yet to stumble across a bad album from this series.

More an experience than a song. I'd put this slightly above Purple Rain as my favorite. 63K views? That's ridiculous. At least in the studio sense I thought he had the best falsetto of modern singers (ie not classical). I can't really comment on his live stuff, but thank goodness he got this down while he was still in his prime.

Listening to this band I've not heard before. Stepson is a hard rock blues based band formed in 1972 and disbanded in 1974. They released two alums, the last a collection of songs that never made it to a record.
