It is kind of a downer, heavy lyrics, but the album is very good. Though it has been so many years, it seems to pick up right where they left off. I had preordered the Deluxe version so I could listen to it in Atmos. The Atmos gives it ambient space, but there isn't any specific activity in the rears / heights. I will have to go back and listen to the stereo tracks to see; because the front stage sounds very well recorded.

Streaming some Van Morrison this afternoon. Love Moondance Tupelo Honey and more. Great stuff from the late 60s and early 70s.

Seeing the post got me to listen to the 1st Boston album again last night. It’s so well played and recorded that it still sounds great almost 50 years later.

Man, I love Boston's 1st LP.
Belongs in EVERY music collection. I have it on vinyl and CD; this blue reissue replaced an original copy I owned from my days as a mobile DJ (when I worked for a company at the time). It was an original orange Epic label pressing, but it was in BAD shape. I kept it just for nostalgia, so it sits alongside the blue reissue under my "Classic Rock" section.

One of the best rock records ever made -- it's almost like this album is all you need by them, including any "Best Of" packages. I wish it had "Amanda" and "Don't Look Back," but...

Yesterday's local streaming selections played through the Monoprice soundbar system. All but the last are of the garage/punk rock sound with lots of energy.
