The only way to pressure Congress in this country is vote them out, but its been nearly impossible as there are poop for brains candidates that always fall to the pressure of the OLD TIMERS, or want to be "relevant as a far left or a far right. I guess LOUD gets noticed. Without term limits nothing will change.

That's what I meant in my last sentence. The quality of the candidates has been a huge problem, for a long time. Nobody seems to care- the ones who pander better, win. And 100% agreement with term limits.

There's only a few ways- make or save more, start a successful business, become invaluable while working for someone else are some of them. This is impossible when people don't finish their education and end up hooked on chemicals to the point where they can't function and don't have usable job skills/work ethic.

A major part of the problem is that candidates need to pander to the party base to win primaries.

It's exacerbated on the GOP side by Trump's willingness to back primary challengers that don't lick his boots (or other things)
