I recently found my owners manual for these ancient floorstanders....there is nothing in the specs that shows the frequency response nor does it state what the xovers are set for. Does anybody have any reference for me on this?

Have you tried to contact Polk about them? I would think that they could give you more information about them.

Bob, Polk has a good web site and a helpfull forum so you should have no trouble getting all the info you need.

Thanks...I emailed Polk but have not gone to the forum yet. Not a big deal really as I think I have my set up tweaked to my liking anyways, more curious than anything else!

Found it!

From the manual:

High pass crossover: 2nd order Gaussia; resonance and inductance compensated; 2kHz. One per cabinet.

Low pass crossover #1: 2nd order Butterworth, impedance compensated; 2kHz. Two per cabinet.

Low pass #2: Fully complimentary sub-bass operation of both drivers of both diverts below 150Hz. One per cabinet.

Dimensional matrix - one per cabinet.

Sales brochure:
20-26kHz
38-20kHz (3dB)

My comments:
For low pass # 2, I think this is the mechanical cross for the 12" passive radiator.

I love these speakers and still haven't found anything that images better than the SDA's :D

I recently replaced some RTi8s with SDA 1Cs:D . I'm continually amazed at the imaging and detail these puppies produce. If you can find a pair in good shape or even retore them, they are well worth their blue book value. At least as good as the LSis, though different.
