I purchased a set of Infinity Kappa 600's almost 20 years ago with the dream of building a listening room in my house. I really know very little about quality gear but try to read a good bit to learn. Flash forward two decades and I still have my Kappas that I never bought the other components for. I would like to revive that dream and get a good amp for these speakers. Could any of you be so kind to suggest a good starting point for me on this project. I read some articles and one author said that he tested these speaker with the PS Audio Sprout100 amp. I have a Yamaha RX V-4a home theater receiver now, but I would assume this is not what I need to power these speakers. I posted in the beginners forum because I realize I know very little. I would love some good advice from you folks to get things started in the right direction for me. Thanks ahead of time. Mark

Your avr should be fine, it has more power than that BS audio unit (sorry, I do not like grandpa Paul and much of the bs he sells). Hook 'em up and enjoy, they'll be fine.

I'm with @lovinthehd. Use the Yamaha RX V-4a and save your money.

I'd concentrate on your setup of the speakers and listening position, before looking for more gear.
What type of source material are you going to focus on, and what system configuration interests you?
