Ok to share a deal here? Pioneer Elite

Hi Guys,

I read the sticky about hamburgers and posting. Didnt see anything about online deals.

Anyway, based on a forum members recommendation and my past experiences with pioneer I went for one of there elite receivers.

However since it is not a authorized dealer it does not come with a warranty, but if you place your order over the phone they have a warranty you can buy. You choose the warranty, accessories, etc.

Overall when I walked away with this I got a 4 year warranty, Express Shipping Upgrade, THX HDMI cable for 531.

I have seen others with a similar price but with a 4 year warranty alone Im happy with that. Ive had some bad products in the past. The cable and shipping were just filler for me! I have extra cables everywhere!

that is a nice deal. I've been very happy with my SC-07. Who provides the warranty? I'd see if you could get a warranty through squaretrade, as you know they will be around.

Not sure who provides the warranty. When I was placing the order he first tried to sell me a THX HDMI cable. I told him no. However, one of my questions was the warranty and if it was a refurb. He said it was brand new but told me there was no warranty only if you buy from pioneer or authorized shop. Those come with a 2 year standard warranty.

He looked up my zipcode and said that the warranty company they use services my area. He said if they cant fix it they will cut me a check.

I hesitated for a second while I pictured a dead on arrival amp. I told him you know what, go ahead and do it. I like 4 years. Then he said he would throw in the HDMI cable free and give me express shipping. Hopefully its at my PO box tomorrow.

BTW. They use UPS for standard 7-10 business day. Unless you ship to a po box or request USPS. In my case it is coming USPS.
