I think something is wrong with me...

I am only buying one; my two friends are buying the other two.

PS3 IR add-on available at Amazon for $20.

Ohh how much is the IR add-on for it? Also best buy was advertising five free blurays with the purchase of a ps3 too. Don't know if it's still going on but they had it last week when I went with my wife's little brother to get his xbox360 elite.

While a noble idea this item still lacks one great feature of the blue tooth remote and why many people don't want to do the ps2 IR trick. You still can't power the ps3 on with it. In a little while there will most likely be a fully functional remote released and it will sell like mad. Until then anyone with a universal remote will just have to live with two to get complete functionality.

Ok; I decided to do a "cool off" period on the bike and wait (and hope) the urge to get it goes away.

I went ahead and picked up a PS3 yesterday. Hooked it up late last night but havent messed with it yet. I am sure I will have some questions once I get into it so "stand by".

That little button on the middle of the controller turns it on ;) that should be about all you need as they aren't too hard to figure out especially with all the auto setup features Sony has there.

A bit off topic, but 27Gs on a bike?! Please say its not your first bike :( As a rider, I'll leave you with the famous saying (I'm sure you've heard it), a small statistic, a recommendation, and then let it go (this isn't a bike forum after all :)).

"It's not if you wreck it's when...."

Most wrecks occur within the first 6 months of owning a motorcycle.

If it's your first bike, get a learner bike. A small, light, 500cc or something similar. They are easy to handle, great on gas, and simple to learn how to fix so that when you do get that awesome bike, you don't have to pay the outrageous maintenance costs. Plus if you do end up wrecking it, you didn't just trash the bike of your dreams, you only wasted a little bit of money. And if you get one used, chances are you can resell to someone else looking for the same thing for almost the same price you bought it for. At the very least, take the safety course, you'll be glad you did.

I may be preaching to the choir so just ignore my paranoid rant :D:D. Either way, have fun, stay safe, enjoy that PS3.

To stay off topic...

Naw not my first bike but the coolest one I have ever wanted (American Iron Horse- Slammer) I know custom bikes like this require a little more love and affection but I raced Pro Mods fo 20 years so no big deal to me. The wife wants a pool so she is trying to talk me out of the bike...we will see.

I still havent played with the PS3; maybe tonight.

Well, looks like the wife has talked me out of the bike. She really wants a pool and she has let me get all this HT gear so I believe it's her turn. I got my PS3 out of the deal and now I get to get an amp. I am going to go ahead and order the Emotiva Audio RPA-1 sometime next week and see how it flys.
